So, have you been struggling at affiliate marketing? It’s pretty hard… Isn’t it? Well, if you have the right tools and knowledge you can finally succeed! As you know, I’ve been working hard perfecting my affiliate marketing strategies for years now. Actually, this month makes it my third year. This month, I worked hard at determining what I should advertise this thanksgiving and found a product that I thought might work well on the holiday. With Black Friday and everyone checking prices online and their email, I wanted to make sure I was there so they could see my ad’s and take advantage of the offer I chose. I really only have a few hours of work into the ad I ran for today and WOW! did I get a response.

So far, I’ve spent less than $100 on advertising and have grossed $1186.69! That’s a profit of $1088.73

Here is proof:

What I spent today so far on Google Affiliate Marketing

Clickbank profits as of 8:30 PM

Clickbank profits as of 8:30 PM

Now, that’s pretty good! I’ve still got 6 hours to go from the Clickbank clock. I should go to around $1300 profit for today.

Ok, why am I showing you this? Well, you can do this to if you want. Yes, you can. It took me 3 years of trial and error before I finally figured it out. Do you want to spend that much time, money and energy to achieve this kind of goal?

I didn’t think so. If you want help, then simply sign up to our newsletter and we’ll send you some secrets, tips and tricks to affiliate makreting. We’ll also make sure you have access to some of the best training available so you don’t waste your time (like I did).

Making Money Online Was Never So EASY!

Use Email Campaign Software

August 23rd, 2009 by Eddie No comments »

One of the first things you should do after you’ve got your affiliate page up and running with your ad’s is to start gathering email addresses. You can’t just sign up to Aweber and put a subscribe form on your site and think that people will start subscribing, you MUST put up a special page and then give away something that your customers would like to have for free in exchange for their email address. This is VERY important or you will just not get anyone signing up.

For example, on one of my ebook sites, I’m offering a series of daily emails as a learning course for the vertical I’m advertising (product). This way, if someone is interested in the product or technology, they can sign up for the FREE email course. When I added the free course, people were flocking to sign up to my list. This email course also has affiliate links in it for the products that I’m selling on the site. With Aweber, you can easily create what’s called “Follow Up” messages. I setup a 5 day course that starts the day they sign up and they get an additional email every day for 5 days. Each email explains the benefits of the product and why they should purchase the ebooks. I also have additional follow up emails that are spread out about a week apart offering additional products that are in the same industry. This way they will receive other offers on a weekly basis and guess what… It works!! I’ve sold to about 60% of my list already. It works really well. The nice part of this is you only have to set it up once and when people subscribe to your mailing list, it automatically just sends out the emails.

Here are some tips to follow when having a newsletter or what ever you want to call it to gather email addresses in your list.

  • Get (or write) a daily course that lasts between 3 and 7 days on the subject or give them something for free like an e-book
  • Set EVRYTHING up first and test it on yourself
  • Setup the follow up emails to deliver to your subscribers on a daily basis
  • Put you affiliate links in the course and test them!
  • Check you spelling!!!
  • have graphics and videos in your course (aweber supports this)
  • Setup follow up emails that fire off about a week apart
  • Sign yourself up for the course and make sure EVERHTYING works correctly
  • Add your Aweber Web Form to your site or blog

Now seems pretty easy doesn’t it! After I started my “Receive a free email course” to my site and I had over 1000 subscribers, I started to campaign them with a new product and they started buying this as well. Now I’ve got people purchasing two products from us. This is the great part of affliliate marketing. You can continue to email them because you have their permission to. Now that said… DO NOT get any lists by purchasing them and adding the list to your account. This will only get you banned from aweber and the network you’re getting your products from. This is a bad thing and NEVER do it.

Here are some tips directly from Aweber on email marketing:

Well, that was a long post. Make sure you check out Aweber and start getting your customers email addresses!

Oprah and Dr Oz Sues Affiliate Marketers over Acai Berry and other products

August 21st, 2009 by Eddie 2 comments »

Attn Affiliate Marketers!!!

Today, Oprah Winfrey and Dr Oz have filed law suits against 50 companies for false claims that they endorse the products when the really don’t. The Illinois Attorney General released a press release today explaining the lawsuit and lists companies that are being sued. You don’t want to be in this list.

Make sure if you’re marketing products you don’t get yourself into a mess by doing something illegal. You will not make it in the long run if you do. Follow these simple steps to keep yourself out of trouble.

Here is the recommendations that Azoogle has put out:

  • Must not use falsified consumer testimonials or postings.
  • If any testimonials/photos/first person accounts/etc. are used, appropriate documentation must be submitted to your affiliate network. Talk to your network manager for more information.
  • Must not use photos of celebrities or falsified endorsements. – Duh!!!
  • Must not use altered pictures and represent that those pictures are of actual consumers.
  • Must not use fake blogs or fake news sites to promote content.
  • Must not use of the word “FREE” on anything that is not completely free. ‘Free’, ‘Try it Free’, ‘Free Sample’, etc. are not acceptable.
  • Must not have a “comments” section without a “reply” or “post” option.

Make sure you follow the basic rules and come up with some creative and legal ways to advertise. This way, you will not only feel good about your job, you will not be looking over your shoulder waiting for someone to track you down.

Be good and be good at it!

Basic Affiliate Marketing Process

August 16th, 2009 by Eddie No comments »

Have you asked yourself…

“Where do I start with Affiliate Marketing?”

I asked myself this a few years ago and fumbled around trying to figure it out. Here are some basic steps you need to do to start being successful. If I knew these simple steps, I would have been more successful from the very beginning.

For starters, you have a passion for something…

Even better, maybe it’s an addiction. Who knows, take advantage of it. It may be playing video games, reading books, shopping, cars, photography, computers or whatever… You know what I mean. It’s easier for anyone to sell something they already know. For example, when I started out, I love photography and cameras. I started my quest to quit my day job by marketing cameras. There is a huge commission on cameras that sell for $600 and up. So, I went out and looked into Amazon’s affiliate program. It looked pretty good and I started out by putting Amazon widgets on one of my webpages. Then I decided to look around to find a script to pull from Amazon’s affiliate data feed. I found Asociate-o-matic and I was all set!

Now I needed a domain name and website…

Ok. Now I need to figure out a domain name to put install this software on and build my first website. Wait… I need to host it somewhere. I looked and looked. So many hosting sites available. Well, after a few years of hosting at different hosting facilities, I ended up at Hostgator. Their systems support everything you need for affiliate marketing and we haven’t had ANY problems at all. Purchase your domains from Godaddy but stay away from their hosting. It’s not very good and the support is horrible!

Once I had my domain purchased and hosting account, I pointed my DNS to my server IP and uploaded my Associate-o-matic website. I picked what’s called a “Browse Node” and Bam! My site was full of products with my affiliate ID behind it.

Advertising the cameras…

Now I could pick specific pages and advertise them on the big three (Google, MSN and Yahoo). I started out by determining which cameras were HOT and started advertising them. It worked! I started making money. Not much, but I was on my way.

Later, I’ll fill you in on how to get the person’s email address so you can directly market to the people that subscribe to your newsletter.

My Affiliate Marketing beginning

August 15th, 2009 by Eddie No comments »

I started affiliate marketing back in 2006 and it’s been a long haul. I decided to give you a fairly quick review of what I’ve done and where I intend on going with my marketing career. Yes, this is my first post on this blog but you have to start somewhere… Right?

Back in 2006, my really good friend (best friend) quit his day job after working hard at affiliate marteting for a few years and hit it big.. I mean BIG. He’s still going strong and will for the rest of his life. He has been my inspiration for the past few years and really helps me go in the right direction with marketing other peoples products.

How do you do this successfully?

What are the tricks to make it big?

Well, we will be discussing many aspects of affiliate marketing and hopefully, you will figure out how this dog-eat-dog world works.

My success…
After a few years, I make more than the average person working in the corperate world and intend to blast past the majority of affiliate marketers fairly quickly.

My goal… $1000 a day profit by July 2010. Yes, that’s 365,000 a year. Is this possible. Defenatly YES! Maybe this goal is low but keep in touch and follow this blog to find out how I do it.

I’ll explain what works and what doesn’t. Where to spend your hard earned money and what to stay away from.

Sign up to our newsletter and we’ll send you most of the tricks and updates via email.

This week in review 8/10/09 – 8/15/09:
Spent Advertising: 1003.77
Commissions: 2408.26
Profit: 1404.49

Not bad…
